Located in Santa Barbara, California the company was formed in 1987 by Bob Van Buren. Our consultants combine technical expertise with their backgrounds as teachers, removing the "geek" layer from interactions with you - our clients. Over the years Van Buren Consulting has grown, both in expertise offered and clients supported, and now has over 250 clients. Our primary role is to act as the IT / MIS department for small to medium size businesses not large enough to have in-house professionals. Our clients are located between San Luis Obispo and Thousand Oaks, with the majority being in the Santa Barbara area. Our clients range from individuals seeking assistance with home computers to companies with 50 or more workstations requiring networking, security and training. We offer a complimentary half hour consultation with new clients to see if our expertise meets your needs.
